ACTOR HEADSHOTS
Headshots that feel like you, not a performance of you.
Studio sessions in Midtown Manhattan, built for actors and creatives who need images that work as hard as they do. Every session is shot personally by Sean.
I work with a limited number of actors each month. Every session starts with a consultation call, so we can make sure it's the right fit before we get in the studio.
Sean Turi
Founder & Principal Photographer
I shoot every Actor Headshot session personally - 17 years behind the camera, and years in front of it. That time on the other side of the lens taught me how casting directors actually read a photo: not just whether you look good, but whether they can immediately place you - your type, your range, what you'd bring to a room. Every session is built around that: what agents look for, what reads on camera, and what it feels like to have a lens pointed at you. The result isn't just marketable - it feels like you.

HEADSHOTS FOR THEATRICAL, COMMERCIAL, TV/FILM ACTORS
The Process
Most headshot sessions produce photos where you look pretty - but not like yourself. That gap is the difference between a headshot that gets a second look and one that gets skipped. My process is built to close it.
1. The Consultation
Every session starts before you set foot in the studio, with a video consultation to talk through your goals, your type, and what to bring.
2. Wardrobe & Prep
When you arrive, we go through wardrobe together and steam everything on the spot - no guessing, no wasted looks.
3. The Shoot
From there, it's hands-on. We shoot test frames and review them together on screen as we go, adjusting lighting, angle, and expression in real time until what's on the monitor actually looks like you - not a version of you dressed up for a camera. Most of what I'm doing in the room is making you comfortable enough to forget it's happening - confidence reads on camera, and it's the difference between a shot that's technically good and one that's actually you.
4. Built for Range
Because casting needs range, every session is built to capture more than one version of you — theatrical, commercial, TV/film - so you walk away with a set that's marketable across the types you're actually submitting for, not just one strong frame.
5. After the Shoot
You get a full gallery of every image, unwatermarked, with retouching available to bring your final selects to casting-ready polish.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We'll cover the specifics on your consultation call based on what you're submitting for, but bring a range — solids photograph better than patterns, and layers give us more to work with. Anything you're unsure about, bring it anyway; we'll sort it out together when we steam wardrobe at the start of your session.
-
You'll receive your full gallery, unwatermarked, within 5 days of your session. If you add retouching, finished retouched images typically take an additional 5 days.

The studio is in Midtown Manhattan, around 38th and 8th Avenue. Let us know if you'd like parking garage recommendations nearby — happy to point you in the right direction.

It's optional. You're welcome to bring your own HMU artist — there's a studio fee for this, and I can also recommend artists I trust if you'd like a referral. That said, the trend has shifted: casting wants HMU that looks like how you actually do your own hair and makeup day to day, so many actors get just as strong a result doing it themselves and skip the added cost and logistics. If you're on the fence, it's worth talking through on our consultation call — I'll give you a straight opinion on what's right for your specific session.
-
Every image from your session is included in your gallery — not just a handful of "selects." From there, you choose which ones you'd like retouched to bring to final, casting-ready polish. The final image count varies.

Yes — they're yours. Once your gallery is delivered, you own your photos and can use them however you'd like: casting submissions, your own website, social media, or anything else.
